New Found Mold - our neighbor initially thought they didn't have a lot of water intrusion other than a window that was dripping. Today 11/2/04, after having water detected in the walls a few weeks ago, they removed their kitchen cabinets, to find the moldy drywall above. The back/bottom of the cabinets were covered as well and are trash. Here is video of the mold that was uncovered.

Hidden Damage - Many of us can see some of the damage w/out looking behind our walls, but even if the drywall appears dry above where the water came in at the floor line - if you begin to remove drywall and cabinets you may find sights like this. This wet insulation paper was found still soaked 2 weeks after Jeanne. And minimal visible damage of peeling veener on the side of the kitchen cabinet hid a rainbow of mold locked away behind it.

Even if you are unsure how much damage you really have but know that you probably have some, you can join the GroupEffort so you can make sure your hidden damage is properly taken care of and doesn't stay hidden behind your walls and cabinets.
